    Today we proceed to Phuntsholing โ€“ the gateway to Bhutan. Upon arrival we take a photo stop at Zangto Pelri โ€“a Buddhist Monastery and an exquisite example of ancient architecture of Bhutan.

    Phuentsholing โ€“ Thimphu
    Today we proceed to Thimphu โ€“ the capital city of Bhutan nestled in the Himalayan valley. En route, we visit Kharbandi Gompa, a monastery surrounded by panoramic views of Phuentsholing and the plains of West Bengal. Upon arrival in Thimphu, we visit the BBS Clock Tower and admire the grandeur of Tashichho Dzong โ€“ the seat of the Bhutanese government and monastic body. In the evening, enjoy free time at the local market for shopping.

    Today we explore Thimphu city. We begin with a visit to the Royal Takin Preserve โ€“ a wildlife reserve home to the unique national animal of Bhutan. We then see the majestic Buddha Dordenma Statue and enjoy scenic views from Standing Buddha Park. Later, we explore Bhutanโ€™s culture and heritage at the National Library and the Handicraft Centre. Our next stop is Simply Bhutan โ€“ an interactive living museum that offers an immersive experience into traditional Bhutanese life.

    Thimphu โ€“ Paro
    Today we proceed to Paro โ€“ a picturesque town on the banks of the Paro Chhu River. Upon arrival, we visit a local and traditional Bhutanese Beer brewery. The entire process of brewing will be shown and explained as we take a tour around the brewery. This will be followed by tasting of all the beers that are brewed in the Brewery. Later we explore the cultural side of Paro with a visit to the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and Paro Dzong โ€“ a fortress-monastery with splendid views of the valley. In the evening, we enjoy the traditional Bhutanese cultural program.

    Paro โ€“ Taktshang Monastery
    Today we visit Taktshang Monastery โ€“ famously known as Tigerโ€™s Nest Monastery. Clinging on a cliff at a height of 3120 meters above the sea level, this ancient monastery is a gem of Paro Valley. A trek of total 12km from Paro town. After returning from Tigerโ€™s Nest, we proceed to the viewpoint of Drukgyel Dzong โ€“ a Victory Fortress. In the evening, we have some free time for shopping at local market.

    Today we proceed to Siliguri via Phuntsholing. En route we take a photo stop at Tamcho Iron bridge near Pa Chhu. In the evening, we arrive at Siliguri.
